Was shot dead at the home of a colleague in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on 14 November 1990, by named perpetrators associated with the Lingelethu West Town Council, in a period of heightened conflict between the ANC and the council. Mr Piliso’s colleague was wounded in the shooting.
