Over 60 people were killed and 20 000 homes destroyed in the attacks. | References | | MDLALOSE, (first name not given) | | Was shot dead by members of the IFP-aligned Khetisi Kheswa gang in Sebokeng, Transvaal, on 12 January 1991 at a night vigil for an ANCYL member killed by the gang. Gang members fired and threw hand grenades at mourners, killing a number and injuring several others. Police arrived on the scene but provided no protection, ignoring both the attackers and the injured. ANC supporters, trying to disrupt the march, shot dead a marcher from Ms Mdlalose`s house. Believing her to be an ANC supporter, IFP marchers then burnt her home down and attacked her. Police standing nearby allegedly did nothing to assist her. | References | | MDLALOSE, Frans | | A member of the SAP who was killed when members of MK`s `Dolphin Unit` detonated an explosive in a car near the Krugersdorp Magistrate`s court and the adjacent police station, Transvaal, on 16 March 1988.
